(LOCAL NEWS PAPER) Vickie Sue Weaver,6 year old daughter of Mr. & Mrs Harry L. Weaver, Portland, died at 9;30a.m. Wednesday morning at the Jay County Hospital from injuries sustained two and a half hours earlier when her father accidentally backed his car over her little body. Mr. Weaver was backing his auto out to take his children to school and was not aware that Vickie Sue had climbed onto the back of the machine. She fell and the accident occurred. Her left leg was broken and she had internal injuries. The child, a first grader at General Shanks school, was the great grand-daughter of Mrs. Christine Steen, whose funeral was conducted that day. In addition to her parents Harry and Sarah Weaver, she is survived by the following brothers and sisters:Stella,May,JamesLee,Thomas,Joe,Sharon and Barbara, all at home. Vickie was my Mothers little sister, I never got to meet her but have heard many stories through the years of what a special little girl she was, and how her trajic death haunted many members of her family, And know that she has been missed greatly, but never forgotten. So from your family Rest in peace sweet Angel Vickie,(now your Mother and Father and sister May & brother JimmyLee are with you)God bless darling we all love you.xxxooo

Vickie Sue

Little did we know that morning
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Memories

A silent thought, a secret tear,
Keeps your memory ever dear.
God took you home, it was his will,
But in our hearts, you live still.
